On Sunday, April 25th, for the second year in a row, the PNY Pink Dream Team participated in the Susan G. Komen North Jersey Race for the Cure® in Essex County Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ. Alongside 8,000 fellow community members, PNY was proud to stand up and make a difference. With a total of 45 employee race participants and their family members, and despite the cold and pouring rain, PNY was in full force to support the fight against breast cancer!
In addition to PNY's ongoing national sponsorship of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, PNY held ‘Think Pink Week', hosting daily activities, raffles and giveaways from top customers and local businesses. PNY employee donations helped raise almost $3,000 towards funding research and critical breast health education, screening and treatment programs for underserved and uninsured women in the North Jersey community - home to the headquarters of PNY.
Consumers can also support this great cause all year long by purchasing a PNY Susan G. Komen Pink Ribbon Attaché USB Flash Drive, in which $0.50 will be donated for each drive sold.
PNY was also featured in footage from the race on Fox 5 News New York. Take a look at the 1:30 mark!
