The man behind Photo Business News & Forum is John Harrington, president of the White House News Photographers Association. John just released a new book: Photographs from the Edge of Reality: True Stories About Shooting on Location, Surviving, and Learning Along the Way. The book offers a great behind-the-scenes perspective of various assignments that John has covered over the past twenty years. The books spans assignments covering events as part of the Presidential press pool, in foreign countries, major sporting events, rock concerts, and events in and around Washington DC. John presents an honest look into what it takes to be a working professional photographer. It's a great read for the aspiring photographer, or people just interested what goes into covering a story as a news photographer.
