On May 6th, NVIDIA announced the GeForce GTX 1080, the first GPU to feature its new Pascal architecture. Pascal boasts new improvements in performance, offering up to twice the performance in virutal reality as experienced with the GTX Titan.
From May 6th-8th, DreamHack launched its first event for gamers in North America, and PNY was in attendance at the Austin Convention Center. The event centered around a massive LAN party and world class esport tournaments for prizes.
This year's PAX East took place in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts. With tens of thousands in attendance, this show is one of the largest gaming events in North America. The exhibit hall featured all genres of games, including PC, tabletop, console, and handheld games, covering over five hundred thousand square feet.
