During this unprecedented period of Covid-19, many of us have found ourselves transitioning from the familiar bustling office environments to our not so quiet-and-quaint home settings. NVIDIA Omniverse™ is a powerful, multi-GPU, real-time simulation and collaboration platform for 3D production pipelines based on Pixar’s Universal Scene Description (USD) and NVIDIA’s open-source MDL (Materials Definition library).

Omniverse aims for universal interoperability across different applications and 3D ecosystem vendors. Think of it as a “PDF” for advanced 3D graphics. It provides efficient real-time scene updates and is based on open standards and protocols.
